La Banda nació en 1998 con el fin de hacer tributo al verdadero metal con total entrega y sentimiento. La banda fue creada por Metal Flame (Ruben) como un proyecto de musica heavy metal inspirado en bandas pioneras como: Judas Priest y Accept principalmente. En 1999 METAL KING lanzó su primer demo-tape llamado " Con manos de hierro" con edición limitada de tan solo 1.000 copias y producido por SOTANO RECORDS de Ecuador.
Actuamente ,el nuevo material de METAL KING llamado " Metal Rules " está disponible, este contiene 2 nuevas agresivas y fuertes composiciones.
